Wow! I can't believe how much it is dumping snow today! I'm glad that I have no where to go today! We got our van back from the fix-it shop in record time so that is nice not to worry about. Scott drove to work today--I usually take him so I can have the van but I'm so glad I didn't today!! Kael, Kalli and Aidan decided to go out back and make snowforts and play in the snow. They had so much fun! I love the snow when I don't have to drive in it! Hope everyone stays safe this Holiday season!

Childproofing for Aaron
The last few days have been so hard keeping Aaron out of the bathroom! He can open doors and I would find him playing in the sink and the toliet! Well thank goodness for childproofing gadgets! No longer can he open the door! He is so smart I'm sure it won't take long to figure out this contraption but I will enjoy it while it lasts! Now if we could just keep him away from the thermostat!!!
Busy Day
(Pictured above Aidan in the old navy shirt and next picture, Kalli is in green shirt folding her arms)
Well I have the baby on my lap and my two year old is napping (I hope). So I will just jot down a couple of things. This morning I hauled my three boys to the elementary school for their Christmas singing. Aidan has afternoon kindergarten but he went on stage and sang with the kindergartners. He loves doing that kind of thing. Then the four of us listened to the kids and waited for the fourth graders to sing. kalli did a good job. She looked for us and found us. That alone was worth the effort of bringing my three boys there. It takes so much energy to get there and then have the boys sit still but Kalli knows that we love and support her in everything she does. This afternoon I am taking our car to the fixit shop for a lookover and a lube. I am not looking forward to it because a big storm is supposed to hit this afternoon and I would rather be hibernating at home. But, my husband really wants this done and he can't do it since he is at work so I will just do it and try not to complain so much! My main problem is I don't know how long it will take and I hate being without a car. We only have one vehicle so we depend on it heavily!! Hopefully, it won't take too long!

I love this Christmas season!
I have a bunch of random thoughts today so here goes. I love this holiday season! I got some Christmas cards in the mail yesterday that just made my day! I love reconnecting with friends that I haven't heard from in years. Sometimes the holiday cards are the time that I get to catch up on how people are doing. I love the music, I love the cards and pictures. Speaking of pictures, above is our family picture. It is the first updated one with all of us including Ammon. We took several and by the end of the photo taking, Aaron (my two year old) was done. He doesn't like sitting still very long. I enjoyed the snow we got today probably because Scott drove himself to work today and I didn't have to drive in it! We haven't got this much snow for a long time!!! It just makes it feel like Christmas! Today I fed Ammon baby cereal for the first time. He didn't like it much. He slurped a couple bites down and then turned his head. I didn't push it though. We will take solids nice and slow. He is four and half months now. He has plenty of time. this morning, I was in a baking mood so I though i would make some rolls. I am exhausted now! Aaron can open doors now so while I was making the rolls, he kept getting into the bathroom and playing in the toliet and sink. I had to change his shirt because everytime I pulled him out of the bathroom, he got dough on him because my hands were covered from making rolls. Plus he was wet from getting into the sink! Ammon slept a little but then woke up and he was screaming wanting to be held. I was just thinking to myself, "this wasn't such a great idea!" But I had started and i couldn't stop in the middle of the project! Well, I got the rolls made and the smell and taste delicious but it was a lot of work!!!

I love Christmas!
I just love this time of year. It is so magical! And I am especially feeling good because I am pretty much done Christmas shopping! It helps that we decided to have a small Christmas this year and I didn't go overboard buying gifts like I have in the past. We put up our tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving and then December 1st for Family Home Evening we decorated it. The kids really enjoyed that. Aaron is doing a pretty good job staying away from the tree but he does have his moments.

Getting ready for Christmas
This is my new Christmas tree skirt that I bought and I really like it. We got our tree up Saturday but we were all so tired that we didn't have the energy to decorate it. We will try and do that tonight during Family Home Evening. The only thing I am sad about is when I got the tree skirt, I forgot about the train I bought last year to go around the tree. I can't put the train up because the skirt is too bumpy! But it is just as well. I will be fighting off the boys away from the tree all month anyway so at least now I won't have to protect the train!!! Maybe in a couple of years I can put it up!
Thanksgiving
We had a very wonderful Thanksgiving this year. My favorite part of the holidays is spending it with my extended family. This year both of my sisters and my brother (and families) made it to mom and dad's house for dinner. Plus my grandma and aunt. It was wonderful to eat good food with good company. Today is back to routine after having vacation. Although it wasn't much vacation for Kael and Kalli who had a lot of work they did this weekend!! The irrigation ditch in the back of our yard is getting covered and Scott and the kids had a lot of junk to put in the dumpster provided for us to get it ready. They worked Saturday from about 10 a.m. till past dark. They were so exhausted. I had some Homemade chicken noodle soup waiting for them for suppertime. When you work hard and you are cold, there is nothing better than a hot meal waiting for you! Hope everyone had a good holiday!! Thanks Jana for inviting us to your "Tea Party" on Saturday. That was a lot of fun. We made graham cracker gingerbread houses and enjoyed being with her family.
