Aaron's celebrations!

I have so missed being online! Our computer got a virus and Scott had to rebuild our computer. It took awhile because he has so many other projects he is working on too. He is building a shed out back to keep our garden tools and lawn mower etc and we are trying to get our garden ready to plant. I have some good news! Aaron has been in his bed for two weeks now and doing pretty good. He does better at night staying in bed because Aidan is with him and since everyone else is going to bed, he knows it is time to stay in bed. Naptime has been rough this week. I have been very worn out marching him back to bed. He didn't take a nap yesterday because after marching him back to bed for an hour I gave up. Oh, well. It will come. I am so happy that he is out of the crib now. Maybe Ammon will be able to enjoy it soon. Also, Aaron has been potty training. Not by my choice. He wants to go! He tells me he has to go and he runs to the bathroom. He doesn't do this all day so he is still in diapers but I am taking it really slow! I hope that if he at least goes once a day, it will click why he is doing it and he will be able to do it by himself in six months. That is my goal. We will see how it goes. But so far so good! Great job Aaron!

Time to take the crib down!

When you have to tie the crib to the wall and he still can get out, it is time to move him to a bed. I need to just do it!

Got in a fight with the car door and lost

Yesterday I was loading up the kids in the van to go walk the track at the fitness center and I was going a little too fast. As I was shutting the sliding door by Ammon, I opened up my car door and wham I got a goose egg. It did not feel very good let me tell you. I started to cry a little bit because it really smarted and I just sat there for a minute. Aidan was really concerned about it--he said, "Mom let's just not talk about it okay?" Actually, I am so paranoid about being locked out of my van with the kids inside that I was trying to hurry to open my door. I had the van turned on and running to warm it up because it had snowed. Anyway, next time I will slow down because it wasn't worth the pain!

Random Photo Tag

okay I have a lot of pictures but most of them are of Ammon. I have taken so many pictures of my sweet baby probably because I have learned that they just grow up too fast and they don't stay small so I better get as many pictures as possible while he is a baby!
I tag Stephanie, Annie, Emma, Katie, Lisa and Juliet. Go to My Pictures--go to your sixth file and sixth picture then blog about it.

Brownies and Escape Artists

Months ago I moved Aaron to a bed and it was just too hard to keep him there and so I put him in his crib again. Well, my little escape artist is too smart and has figured out a way to get out his crib without falling and hurting himself. He jostles and moves the crib till it moves across the room to the bunkbeds and then he climbs over the side onto the bed. Well, the other day I had put Aaron to nap at 1:00 p.m. and at 1:45 p.m. out of the room he trots. I said, "What do you think you are doing? Get back in bed!" I march him back to his crib and I tied his crib to the curtains and the baby's clothes dresser. So here is a picture of the crib tied to the curtains. Aaron screamed and screamed when he found out he was foiled. Then he went to sleep because he was tired from screaming.
The second picture is the brownies that Kalli and I made on Saturday night. We made them because I felt bad that Kalli was having a bad day. Otherwise, I would have just bagged the whole project. It was 7 p.m, I was tired and had had a long day and I didn't want to bake brownies. But Kalli had been begging me ever since I checked out the Chocolate cookbook to make Mother Lode Brownies. They are rich chocolatey brownies with a layer of carmel and then a layer of chocolate chips. I gain 10 lbs just looking at them. They took a couple of hours to make but she was happy with the result so I am happy too.
