Pyne Family Pictures

This is a picture of my family. I am the oldest of seven children. It is funny but I have five children, the next brother down has four, the next brother has three, my sister has two and my second youngest brother has one and my youngest brother and his wife are expecting their first baby in Jan. 2010. My youngest (beautiful, wonderful, gorgeous, talented, awesome) sister is single. I have a ton to do today and what am doing, catching up on my blog. I wrote about five today so if you have chance, read through all of them. I need to be better at keeping up. It seems like it is feast or famine!

Family pictures

We had our family pictures taken in July and we finally got them back a couple of weeks ago. I was so pleased how they turned out. I worked on matching our clothes for MONTHS. We did pictures with the extended family and we said no t-shirts, plain (no busy patterns) and then the color palette was greens, blues, browns and light khaki. Anyway, I got us in all the colors pretty good and I thought the extended family looked really good too. Brandon Osmond took our pics and he did an awesome job. Aaron was not very happy about getting his picture taken and half the time he was throwing a fit about being on grandma's lap. In the big extended family picture, in about half of the picture he has his finger up his nose. Sigh. I'll have to put some pics up of our extended family too. Anyway, it was great to get them done.

Ammon the scavenger

I made 50 cupcakes on Labor day and let them cool on the kitchen table. One of them fell under the table and I didn't realize it until I found Ammon under the table eating it! I thought he was so cute. I guess I don't feed him enough! He is just getting so big!

Kalli's 11th birthday

We celebrated Kalli, Scott, my niece Kirsten and Aaron's birthdays on Labor day at my Grandma's. Kalli's surprise gift was her new scooter that she didn't think she would get. She cried when she saw it she was so happy. She also got a Taylor Swift CD that she didn't think she would get from my aunt. She listens to it so much now--it really annoys Kael. She goes around singing the lyrics and Kael really has try to hard to keep his temper. It is funny that some things never change. When Kalli was two, she would go around singing Jingle Bells and Kael was really annoyed. We have just moved on from Jingle Bells to Taylor Swift! Anyway, Kalli had a great birthday and Aaron enjoyed his presents too. Birthdays are so much fun! I can't believe Kalli has one more year of primary and then she is in Young Women. Where does the time go?

Ammon the walker and Potty training

I have been so bad at blogging! I needed to do this one about Ammon weeks ago! This is a picture taken a month ago. Ammon is now 13 1/2 months old and is toddling around everywhere now. He occasionally crawls but mostly he walks now. He is my longest one to walk. Aidan and Kael walked at nine months, Kalli walked at 11 months and Aaron walked right around the time he turned a year old. So anyway, I'm thinking-it's about time!!! He is just growing right up. I weaned him right after his first birthday and he does great with a cup. I'm sad that my baby is growing so fast but happy he is making progress. I made excuses why to put off Aaron's potty training and weaning Ammon was one of them. Now that it is done and I have no more excuses to make!!! I started Thursday right after Aaron's well check at the doctor. I told him that the doctor said that he was a big boy now and he needed to wear big boy underwear instead of diapers. And since the doctor did say that too him, he has been going around telling us that he is a big boy now! It has been tough though. The accidents are lots and I have to work hard on being patient and being positive. I was dragging him by the arm into the bathroom and he was screaming, "I can't, I can't!" I said,"Yes you can!" I sat him him on the toliet and he went and he was so proud. I just need to build him confidence because this is hard for him too. He asked for his diaper back on only one time and I reassured him that he didn't need his diaper. I wish I was brave enough to take him out in public without a pullup but I am not ready yet. He tries harder when he is in his underwear to stay dry. I know this is just a process and we will get through it but potty training is not my favorite!!!

Scott, the breadmaker

This is a picture taken a couple weeks ago of my husband Scott making bread. I was not feeling very well at all and we were out of bread and so Scott said, "I'll make it." He ended up making eight loaves (two batches) which was awesome. He has more strength to knead the dough than me anyway. He grew up with his mom making homemade all the time so he is not unfamiliar at all with making bread. I just thought it was so awesome that he made it and I didn't have to. It tasted really good too!!
