Ammon's birthday

My baby is one! Ammon had a nice birthday. Aidan thought I should take him to Chuck-E-Cheese but I said no. We had a quiet birthday party at home. I made him a yellow cake and we sang him Happy Birthday and he had cake and a little bit of vanilla ice cream. I am so glad that he is growing older but I will miss him being a tiny baby too. I have been weaning him this week and it has been hard for the both of us. He drinks milk out of a cup but he is not too enthusiastic about it. I took him for his shots yesterday and he got through them like a trouper. He screamed pretty good--it hurt!!! He is close to walking. He pulls himself up to a lot of things and walks around if he has something to hold onto. It won't be long before he is walking by himself. Out of the five kids--he is the longest to walk and that is okay! I am so glad that he didn't walk at nine months like Aidan and Kael did. Anyway, we have had a pretty fun summer and it is hard to believe that it is coming to a close. School is just around the corner. I finished school clothes shopping and we have a couple of 7 peaks Waterpark trips to look forward to and we are finishing swim lessons next week. Wow that summer sure went fast!

Family picture

This is a picture of me and my brother Erik. Erik and his wife, Stephanie and kids Elizabeth, Karlee and Jordan are visiting from Georgia. We planned a family picture last Saturday with my extended family which was good. We haven't all been together for at least 5 years probably longer. I am the oldest then I have two brothers, two sisters, two brothers. We had all the spouses and 15 1/2 grandchildren all together. It has been a busy week doing stuff together and so much fun. We went swimming at the Legacy center Monday, to the temple on Tuesday and Chuck E. Cheese Wednesday for Aidan's birthday. Friday we got together at Karl and Hannah's house to visit and then Saturday we had family pictures and went to Mom and Dad's for dinner. I got my hair cut for the family picture and I was so pleased at how it turned out. I was really nervous that it wouldn't turn out but anyway.... I love my family and I'm so glad we have been able to visit with Erik and Steph this month.

Aidan's Birthday

Aidan had his birthday last Wednesday and now is six years old. He went up to our Bishop on Sunday and asked him, "Do I look older?" i thought that was funny. We went to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday. The kids really didn't care for the pizza but they wanted to play the games. My sister-in-law Hannah and her kids came and my friend Susan and her daughter Marissa came. The kids had a load of fun being together and Aidan was in heaven surrounded by video games and the freedom to what he wanted. Anyway, we spent two hours there and then went home. That night we sang Happy Birthday and ate cake and ice cream. We had a good time. Time really flies. I remember when we moved into our house 7 1/2 years ago, I said, "okay we have more room. Now can we have another baby!!!" It was nine more months that I found out I was pregnant and I was beginning to think it would never happen again. I thought Kael and Kalli would be my only children. When Aidan was born, I was so happy and full of joy. He was such a good baby and so smiley. He would smile at everything and everyone. I'm so glad Aidan is in our family!!!

Family Togetherness

I know I have shown this picture on another blog but oh well! I wanted to write a little bit about Ammon. It won't be long before Ammon is walking. He is cruising all over the place. He will be a year old on the 29th this month and I just can't believe how fast it has gone. He is such a joy. I love how much he is learning and growing. He is so curious and into everything just like the rest of my boys.
Well, Tuesday was youngest sister's Katie birthday and we had a girls night out and celebrated her birthday. It was so much fun! We went to dinner at Goodwood BBQ which was so tasty. My grandma, mom, aunt all my sister-in-laws but one (we really missed you Kim) and all the sisters were there. After dinner, we went to the Pyne's for rootbeer floats and brownies and a game of Apples to Apples. That was so much fun! It is fun to have my brother Erik and his wife Stephanie and their kids visiting from Georgia. The kids have really enjoyed being with their cousins. And it has been fun to see all the family together again. It has been 5-7 years since we have all been together because of missions and such. Families are so important. I sure love mine-immediate and extended-a ton!
