Running with Angels

Saturday I walked/jogged a 5K with my mom, 2 sisters and sister-in-law. It was at Thanksgiving point and oh, what a beautiful place to be. We got to go through the gardens and this picture doesn't even do justice to the waterfall and beautiful, picturesque scene that we got to enjoy. There was a really steep part at the end of the course and my sister-in-law, Hannah, helped push me up the hill. I was so spent at the end. And for the next few days I was so stiff and sore. But it was a really great experience and I'm so glad my mom invited me to participate. We went to breakfast at IHOP after and that was fun too. Now I am gearing up for the my next 5k which is two weeks for the Freedom Festival in Provo. Hopefully, I can get a better time than 53 minutes!

My birthday

So I had a pretty fun birthday. In the afternoon, my four nieces and nephews, my sister, mom, kids and grandma went to Jump on it in Lindon. The kids enjoy jumping on all the trampolines. Ammon was really afraid of the slide so he didn't go down it. But for the most part, the kids had a good time. Later that evening, we went to Mimi's Cafe for dinner with my family...mostly siblings and spouses with a smattering of little kids and Kael got to go since he has a June birthday. Kalli stayed home and watched the three boys which I really appreciated. We had a great time being together. I am 37 and proud of it. I don't feel 37. Man I'm getting old. Hopefully wiser......

Haircuts

So Kalli and I got haircuts...I got one yesterday for my birthday and Kalli has been dying to have a haircut for a long time now. Kalli hates for me to run a brush through her hair and she has such a sensitive head. She doesn't do real well with long hair. So anyway, I decided to let you have the hairstyle she wanted and she wanted it short. I think she looks too old. Another reminder that she is getting to be a young woman. She has been doing a lot of babysitting lately for those in the neighborhood. The word has gotten out that she babysits. And she has a lot of experience with her three younger brothers so she does a pretty good job. Anyway, I'm really proud of her. Now if I could just get her to save her money up instead of burning a hole in her pocket!!!
