My new nephew

My sister-in-law Kimberlee and my brother Kris had their baby two days ago. They named him Vance Kristopher and he was 8 lbs and he is a spitting image of Kris!!! It makes me feel old to see my baby brother a father but I am so excited for him!!! He and Kimberlee will be great parents! Congrats!!!

Spills

This happened Monday. Someone left a half a pitcher of lemonade on the table in ammon's reach and he pulled it down on himself. He wasn't very happy. A few days later, I left my mug half-filled with hot chocolate on the table and...you guessed it....he pulled it down all over the floor. You would think I would learn to either watch Ammon more carefully or make sure drinks are not within his reach!!!!

Happy anniversary House!

Today marks 8 years in our house. I remember in December 2001 we started thinking about moving out of our apartment and getting a house. Things just weren't working out and I was so discouraged. I thought we will never, ever, ever, be able to afford a house!!! We were in a 2 bedroom apartment and Kael was 7 and Kalli was 3. I wanted so badly to have another baby but really we had no more room in our apartment. I am so amazed at how much Heavenly Father loves me and He knows the right time for things in my life. I was so amazed at how fast we got into our house. In our old ward, we showed up to church one Sunday in January and said, "This is our last week...we bought a house and we are moving." It was so sudden how things worked out. So anyway, we moved into our house and spent our first night here on January 29, 2002. I remember how different things were and it was so weird to be in a different place. We have added three more boys to our family in 8 years and it has been wonderful. We have so many fantastic memories in our house. I can't imagine being anywhere else. I love it here in Orem and I love my ward and I really love being so close to my extended family. Happy Anniversary, house!!!

Let it Snow!

We had a nice little snow storm yesterday! I am so glad that we have a garage to tuck our van in at night...the kids didn't go play in it but maybe next snowstorm they will. Everything looked so pretty. The snow stuck to the trees and it looked so magical. Kalli and I went shopping about 9 a.m. and we were just in awe at how pretty it looked with all the snow. A lot of it was melted by the evening but oh, well.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

This is what we are having for dinner tonight! Yum! Kalli saw what I mixed together and made gagging noises but seriously it tastes better than you think. Chili Sauce and Grape Jelly. Who would have thought?

Thought for the Day

Thought for the day: You can't always get what you want
But you get what you need.
And you always have more than you could want.
The wanting just gets in the way of enjoying what you have.
Acquisition is a greater pleasure than possession.
And since you get what you need, the easiest way
To acquire stuff is to give so freely of what you have
that you're always in need.
Less stuff to carry around that way, too.

I got contacts!

Here is a picture of my cutie pie Ammon. He is going into nursery the last Sunday of this month and boy is my husband glad. Since I'm in Primary, Scott gets to chase him every Sunday. He is just growing right up into such a sweet boy. He is a lot like Kael but a little more curious about things than Kael was at that age. He likes to explore but he is very mild mannered. Also, I went to the eye doctor last week and since we got new insurance, I found out that contacts would be reasonable so I decided to do something new. I haven't worn contacts for maybe 8-10 years so it has been awhile. It has been fun though. I have really enjoyed them.

Some more pics of Christmas

Kael with his new hoodie and Scott helping Ammon open a present. Wow-Christmas sure came and went fast!!! Now back to routine. Kael started Drivers Ed today! Scary!!! I can't believe he is old enough to drive!

Play in a Box?

They have so many toys yet they choose to play in a box. Go Figure!!!

Aaron

I love this shirt that I got for Aaron that says, "Naughty or Nice" Usually it is nice but occasionally Aaron gets in trouble! He is just the typical curious three-year-old trying to figure out the world. He was really excited this year to get 3 Veggie-Tale Movies and a Veggie-Tales shirt that he wants to wear every single day! I love you, Aaron!

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas! Aidan was really happy with the scooter he got, I got an Anita Stansfield book from Kael so I was happy and the rest of the kids got what they wanted. It just wasn't the gifts though that made Christmas special. It was really great spending time with our little family and with extended family. We had a really good Christmas together this year. Next year I hope to make Christmas even more special with less gifts and more service!

say "Cheese"!

This is my Grandma holding Ammon at the Christmas Eve party that we had. I said, "Say Cheese" and boy did he have a good smile for me!

Why Kael likes his hair short!
