I love it when I can get my house clean. It feels so good to work hard and see a job well done. I love the satisfaction you feel when you look around and see the fruits of your labors. The above pictures are the reasons why I have been having troubles feeling this wonderful feeling. This morning I was trying to vacuum up the rice trail that Aaron was making all over the floor. I turned off the vacuum and he was back. I chased him into the kitchen and finally wised up and took the rice away from him and then vacuumed again!!! Sigh. I keep telling myself that my babies are so much more important than keeping the house clean. I can make it so I don't live in a pigsty but the pristine, crystal clean house is for when I have no kids living at home. After saying all this though, I really am grateful for my mess makers. My life would not be the same without them and I love them so much!!!

I know what you mean. I am grateful for my kids but it is so frustrating to work hard and clean your house only to have it be a disaster mere hours later. One day we will miss that, right?
I think it's awesome to see that everyone else lives the way I do. I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way.
Ditto! I realized a bit ago that much of my week is consumed with worrying whether or not I've done "my chores" that I make goals for each week. I've decided that those chores will always be there...perhaps if I had fewer little ones I could keep up...but for now, the house is fair game!!!! I still like to clean, but it's nice to be reminded that it's not the most important thing. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one with the same dilema!
