Brownies and Escape Artists

Months ago I moved Aaron to a bed and it was just too hard to keep him there and so I put him in his crib again. Well, my little escape artist is too smart and has figured out a way to get out his crib without falling and hurting himself. He jostles and moves the crib till it moves across the room to the bunkbeds and then he climbs over the side onto the bed. Well, the other day I had put Aaron to nap at 1:00 p.m. and at 1:45 p.m. out of the room he trots. I said, "What do you think you are doing? Get back in bed!" I march him back to his crib and I tied his crib to the curtains and the baby's clothes dresser. So here is a picture of the crib tied to the curtains. Aaron screamed and screamed when he found out he was foiled. Then he went to sleep because he was tired from screaming.
The second picture is the brownies that Kalli and I made on Saturday night. We made them because I felt bad that Kalli was having a bad day. Otherwise, I would have just bagged the whole project. It was 7 p.m, I was tired and had had a long day and I didn't want to bake brownies. But Kalli had been begging me ever since I checked out the Chocolate cookbook to make Mother Lode Brownies. They are rich chocolatey brownies with a layer of carmel and then a layer of chocolate chips. I gain 10 lbs just looking at them. They took a couple of hours to make but she was happy with the result so I am happy too.

I love the pictures! That is so funny that you had to tie the crib to the curtains! HAHAHA!! You are the best. If you have extra cookies, share the love!

YUM! (What a good Mommy!)

And you're ingenious! Tying the crib...I think that's so funny that he figured out how to "jump" the crib!

The crib incident reminds me of a "Rugrats" episode where the dad had to duct tape the crib all over because the baby kept getting out (and the baby still got out. lol) Those brownies look soooo yummy. You two did a great job. You may have been tired but Kalli will remember the time spent with you forever. You are an awsome mom!

Wow, those brownies do look yummy but also very rich. :) I can see why Kalli wanted to make them. I made some chocolate fudge brownies for mom and dad with a food storage mix. It actually tastes pretty good. ;)

You are so nice to make that treat. What a good mom! And they look amazing! By the way, you tap dance? I read that on your "interests." That's awesome. I took a tap class 2 years ago and loved it. We should have a tap night! :)
