Easter Excursion

It's funny...this morning I was reading a friend's blog about an "adventure" she had when her car broke down.  I was thinking what a great attitude she had and how I can relate to her because it had happened to us before and I was sooo glad I didn't have to worry about that.  yeah...well I jinxed myself.  So we went up to Lehi today to be with cousins and have an Easter Egg hunt and a BBQ for lunch.  We almost were to Pleasant Grove Blvd when Scott noticed the temperature gage was at H and then it started dinging and the engine light went on.  So we pulled over on I-15 and the engine was smoking.  I was really touched when a young man (maybe in his late 20s) pulled over and asked Scott if he could help.  We don't have a cell phone so we used his to call Scott's sister in Lehi to come get us.  The fellow followed behind us as we slowly drove down the shoulder of the road and up the off ramp to Pleasant Grove Blvd.  The fellow waited until he knew we were all right and then left. Tender mercies....so neat that there are nice people in the world and I know Heavenly Father is aware of us and uses other people as His hands.  Anyway, a tow truck came and towed our van to the mechanic and Uncle Todd took us to Lehi and we enjoyed the Egg hunt and lunch and then he brought us back home.  What a little adventure.  Umm....I really could do without adventure in my life.  I am glad for His tender mercies even though it is inconvenient to be without our van. We do have a second vehicle so at least we will be able to get to where we need to go and it is Spring Break so we aren't going anywhere anyway!
