Have you ever done this before?
Last night, before Family Home Evening, I thought I would run a quick errand. I left at 6:30 and was done with my errand at 7 p.m. "Great!" I thought, "I'll just run home now and we will have FHE. Uh, oh. The doors in the van are all locked and oh, look-there are my keys sitting on the front seat. I went back into Copy Max and asked to use their phone. I don't have a cell phone. I called my sister. She didn't answer her phone so I left a message. I called my husband and told him I was going to call my parents and ask them to bring me his keys. He misunderstood and thought that I wanted him to call my sister. Sometimes we don't have the best communication skills. So I called my parents, he calls my sister. Luckily he only has one set of keys so my parents brought me his keys (thank you for rescuing me!) and my sister came over to get the keys and of course they weren't there so hubby told her thank you but mom and dad got them to me so she went home. After I came home, I called my sister to apologize for the mixup. It seems like she is always rescuing me from something!! I'm glad to know that she is there for me though. Fortunately, she lives really close so at least she didn't use up too much gas. Anyway, when I was waiting for my parents to bring the keys, I was trying not to be frustrated at myself for being stupid enough to lock the keys in the car! I was trying to be positive. The one thing I came up with was I had 30 minutes of quiet time with no kids demanding my time! The baby woke up when I was gone and was screaming when I came in the house. But all's well that ends well right?

Like they said in conference..Just laugh. LOL Just think of thealond time you got. Sadly, sometime for mom's it's the stupid things we do that get us our quiet and sanity time. LOL Glad you got home safely
Can you tell I'm tired and had long night with the kids. I can't even spell right. LOL It was suppose to say alone time. LOL
I get mine in the bathroom when I pretend I'm not in there. The kids scream at the door and I just lift my feet and think SHHhhhhh....LOL the blessings in disguise. You didn't leave them in your car on purpose? I won't tell LOL
I locked my keys in the van when I stopped at the commissary (military grocery store) to pick up the last few things that I needed for the enrichment activity that I was shopping for. I had tons of perishable groceries in the back and when I came out of the store 5 minutes later I couldn't find my keys. On top of that, it was my last stop before I had to high-tail it home to get Karlee from school and then get home to get Lizzy off the bus. (This was last school year) I called Erik and asked him to come unlock the van, and then to go get Karlee, so I could get home before the bus. Erik came opened the van, and left to get Karlee. I hop in the van, find my keys under a paper in between the seats. Put the keys in the ignition, turn it, and nothing! Nothing at all. My van was completely dead! Erik was gone, groceries still in the VERY HOT van, and Jordan and I trying to be patient. It all worked out eventually, but it was not so fun at the time! It happens to everyone at one time or another!
I too have had that happen. I locked my keys in my car so many times I had to have an extra key in a magnetic box under the car. I used it a lot. I think I will blog about my worst lock-out too. Thanks for making me feel normal.
